Artichoke Dip with chips

Artichoke Dip & Firehouse Red Lager

Artichoke Dip has become a fan favorite across the country. This easy-to-make recipe makes for some excellent munching while watching the game. The creamy texture of this dish serves well with toasted pita chips, tortilla chips, or vegetables.

Combine sour cream, artichokes, cheese, garlic, celery seeds, and white pepper in a medium bowl and stir. Add mayonnaise, thyme, and cayenne and, blend.
Transfer contents to a small oven safe dish and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a thermometer reads 140ºF in the center.
Garnish with Asiago cheese and scallions and serve warm

This recipe pairs well with an American red lager. I would recommend Firehouse Red Lager by Upstream Brewing Company in Omaha, Nebraska. This Vienna-style Red Lager is deep garnet in color with a thick lacy head. It’s fruity yet low hop aroma delivers a smooth, delicate palate that is rich with subtle hints of toffee and light caramel. This red lager is a beer that even a light beer drinker is sure to enjoy.

This tasty appetizer with a few Firehouse Lagers and the big game is sure to get the party started. Please remember to drink responsibly the last thing you want to do is miss work the next day. 😉
