If you don’t know by now, Justin Timberlake will be performing at this year’s halftime show. He’s the first artist that has performed the halftime show three times.
JT’s first halftime show appearance was in 2001 when he and the rest of N Sync performed with Britney Spears, Mary J Blige, Nelly, and Aerosmith.
Perhaps his most memorable performance was in 2004 when he performed with Janet Jackson and contributed to the infamous wardrobe malfunction. “Nipplegate” not only shocked fans, it cracked down on the indecency debate in public broadcasting.

This time, however, JT says he’s not going to “do that again.”
“I stumbled through it. To be quite honest, I had my wires crossed. It’s just something that you have to look back on and go, ‘OK, well, you can’t change what’s happened, but you can move forward and learn from it,” he told Zane Lowe of Beats 1.
Another point that needed debunking was the possibility of an N Sync reunion. Unfortunately, a reunion will not take place. (Fingers crossed because anything can happen)
“I am getting the opportunity to have the stage to myself,” JT told EW. “I really am looking at it as my first time.”
JT will be joined onstage by Chris Stapleton.

If you were looking for another controversy, you’ll be disappointed. What we can expect is an excellent show. Plus his new album Man in the Woods releases this Friday, so we might get treated to some brand new music.
Catch JT at this year’s halftime performance Sunday, Feb. 4 live from the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
